Who can nominate a Living Treasure?
Anyone, anywhere can make a nomination. As only three Treasures are named each year, all nominations are kept on
file for future consideration.
When are nominations due?
Nominations may be submitted at any time. This is an ongoing process.
Are there age restrictions?
There is no lower age limit but the program’s goal is to honor those who have made
contributions to the community for many, many years.
Generally, recipients are over 60 years of age.
What are the guidelines?
Tell when the nominee came to Los Alamos.
Give the years the nominee has been involved in community activities.
List the areas in which the nominee made volunteer contributions to life in Los Alamos.
Show how these contributions affected people in the community.
Explain in what ways Los Alamos is a better place due to the efforts of this person.
Any additional information is welcome.
