"The Socrates Café meets weekly at the Betty Ehart Senior Center (BESC)," said Ralph Partridge. "The group brings up questions of interest, such as 'What is our ultimate authority?' for our weekly meetings," which Ralph facilitates. "We try to look at the philosophical basis for whatever question is posed."

Ralph first came to Los Alamos in the summer of 1952 when he accepted a summer position at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He and his wife, Ann, whom he married on December 23, 1954, in Hamden, Connecticut, left New England in 1955 to come to Los Alamos where they raised their four daughters: Valerie, Linda, Betsy, and Nancy.

'Computers for Kids' was a program Ralph founded at the BESC in 1996. "We refurbished donated computers and gave them to underprivileged children through-out the state until we had saturated the Los Alamos market," said Ralph. Co-chairman of the Los Alamos Retirees' Computer Users Group, Ralph also taught computer classes at Los Alamos High School and at UNM-LA
