Stephanie Sydoriak is a lively spirit, a storyteller, who shares engaging and fascinating stories of her background and life. Her contributions have added color and texture to the tapestry of this diverse community. Stephanie’s father reminded her she was 100% Ukrainian and 100% American. Always sharing her heritage she taught Ukrainian egg-making, provided exhibits of Ukrainian arts and crafts and offered Ukrainian dance demonstrations with husband Steve. She taught piano for 35 years, served on Boards of the Professional Music Teachers Association, LA Music Teachers Association and LA Arts Council; and was Liturgical Director at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Poems from her book, "Inside Passage" became a choral composition performed at the Guadalupe Santuario. Stephanie is grateful to live in Los Alamos – "not only for the setting but also for the people."
